In Lovely Unissued Quality a Scarce / Sort After, Pair of British Jungle Boots. Features:

• Black Rubber Moulded Soles with a Strip of Protective Black Rubber covering the Sides & Toe.
• Deep Grip, Pattern of Raised Horizontal Bars & Diamonds.
• Black Reinforced Rubber Ankle Patches.
• High / Mid Calf Length.
• Full Sewn in Tongue.
• Closed by 6 pairs of Riveted Eyelets & 6 pairs of Lace Hooks.
• Ink Stamps Reads: 9.

Notes: Malayan Scouts: 1950: Founded by Lt Col Mike Calvert Counter Insurgency Unit to Fight Communist Guerrillas in Malaya. The Original Recruits of “A” Sqn came from the Local Volunteers, some of them with Special Operations Executive (SOE) Experience in WWII. Trained in Johore to Live & Fight in the Jungle in Groups of 3 or 4, in Order to Track & Ambush Guerrilla Forces & to direct Air Strikes. A Hearts & Minds Policy was adopted with The Native People. “B” Sqn soon joined which was made up from Members of 21 SAS, shortly followed by “C” Sqn (Rhodesian) Squadron Malayan Scouts (S.A.S.).
